What initiated this project was recognizing that there were more swallows in little towns near Montpellier than in the very centre of Montpellier. Through this reflection the team found a solution: a 4.5-meter high wood structure that would combine wildlife with human participation, more specifically, a 1200 litres composter mixed with a bird tower. This resulted in 27 new nests and 10 new bird species and six new bat species, and a renewed awareness in the region for biodiversity.
